From my medical record you know I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism on or around December 24, 1999. On February 11, 2000 my human took me to a RadioCat treatment center in Wheeling, IL [Chicago]. My appointment was scheduled for 3 pm. I loved the setting, the person (Kim) that greeted us, and the sense of family that goes along with being treated at RadioCat. Kim's kids were fun to be around and put me at ease.
I'd recommend RadioCat to anyone - It's well worth the money & the humans at RadioCat go out of their way to answer questions, explain things, pamper their animal guests [it's more like a five-star hotel than a hospital], & keep owners/ caretakers informed of their pet's progress - Kim personally called my buddy each day I was there & told him how I was, what I was doing, and just generally put him at ease.
They did my ultrasound on Saturday February 12, 2000 to make sure it was ok to give me the shot. It was & in short order I got the I-131 injection & went back to my cage to rest / wind down. I particularly like the way they handled me. As you know from my history, some people think I'm just a little bit nasty at times. The kitty catcher they used to get me out of the cage & to keep me still during the ultrasound & shot didn't hurt me or degrade my dignity in any way.
